Prevent Dog and Cat Ticks from Hitch Hiking

Pets are part of the outdoor experience, especially dogs and horses. BUZZ! 4 bugs Biting Bug Spray is a pet safe tick repellent. It is the best tick prevention alternative to Frontline Plus. The cedarwood oil active ingredient in BUZZ! 4 bugs Biting Bug Spray can be applied to the animal as needed to repel ticks from climbing aboard. BUZZ! 4 bugs can be sprayed on an animal with an embedded tick. Once sprayed, mortality is immediate. However, the tick will still need to be removed with a tick removal tool. After removal, your pet will be extremely vulnerable at the breaks in the skin where the tick was embedded. Continued itching, irritation and possible infection may result. The application of BUZZ! 4 bugs can soothe the bite area, and immediately help the animal’s lesion to heal itself.

The Importance of Tick Prevention

Cases of Lyme disease have been found throughout the United States. However, Lyme disease infections are most commonly diagnosed in the Northeastern, mid-Atlantic and North-Central states, as well as in California. Apart from Lyme disease, ticks are carriers of other bacterium that can cause other serious animal ailments including Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Heartworm disease and Canine Ehrlichiosis.

Recommendations for the Treatment of Animals [Fleas, Ticks, Mites]

You can prevent allergic reactions and side effects in Dogs, Cats and Puppies: BUZZ! 4 bugs’ pet safe treatments are your best alternative to pet products containing Pyrethrin or Permethrin chemicals. Toxic and ineffective PET MEDS compromise your pet’s immune system and promote dry skin, itching sensations, erratic behavior, convulsions, illness and premature death.

BUZZ! 4 bugs Biting Bug Spray is a highly effective weapon against house fleas, bed bugs and other offensive pests. It simply uses the power of cedarwood oil to repel and kill insects.

BUZZ! 4 bugs Biting Bug Spray is considered a contact killer. The objective is to apply a mist or spray directly on the flea or in the alternative, close enough to it that it can breathe the mist from the sprayer. All insects breathe through their body and when their many breathing pores are exposed to the Biting Bug Spray solution, it triggers a suicide response by commanding the closure of the arthropod’s breathing pores. Parasites must have the available heat found in the air to survive, or their internal organs immediately cease to function, creating instant death.

As long as your pet has no known allergies, you can use Biting Bug Spray liberally on the first application. You will observe fleas falling from the animal at once. Take a moment and make sure the feet, leg pits, groin, belly, neck, tail and rectum are treated. Keep your pet’s feet, legs and underbelly treated with Biting Bug Spray prior to entry into flea infested areas. This will help eliminate the fleas that insist on hitching a ride on the animal and returning to your home.

Recommendations for Treatment of Dwelling Areas

Sometimes, it is prudent to treat the premises first, followed by treatment of the pets if the room or house where the pet resides is infested. Apply BUZZ! 4 bugs Biting Bug Spray on the floor, mop boards or floor molding, rugs, carpet, mattress and box spring, bed linens, clothing, furniture and anywhere else those parasites or other insects might be. It will not stain or attract dirt. It is preferable to use a ULV non-thermal fogger or ½ gallon tank type compression sprayer with a wand for application instead of a trigger sprayer. A ULV fogger is always the optimal solution. The more economical tank type sprayer (with telescoping wand) will make it easier to get into the difficult places such as under furniture, beds etc. It will also provide a consistent delivery of the solution often difficult to do when using a trigger sprayer. Remember, you want to treat all areas as this product is considered a CONTACT KILLER and must either touch the insect or be inhaled by the pest to incur death.

The odor of BUZZ! 4 bugs is not offensive but somewhat overwhelming for an hour or two when total home treatments are conducted. Given a short amount of time, the atmosphere will evolve into a refreshing clear cedarwood closet aroma. Wait several days after treatment before cleaning or vacuuming the floor. This will give the solution an opportunity to erode and dehydrate the insect eggs and larvae in the treated area. The recommended application is 1 gallon of Biting Bug Spray per 1600 square feet of treatment area using a ULV non-thermal fogger, or 1 gallon of Biting Bug Spray per 1000 square feet of treatment area using a ½ gallon tank type compression sprayer. The aroma of the cedar oil will impair the mental capacities of any “New Hatch” that survives the treatment, and, subsequent death will incur usually within 72 hours or less. It is imperative that the total structure be treated to insure there is no reoccurrence of the pest. Parasites such as Fleas often will move from one area of the house to another, such as from basements to other levels. Walking the treated area after treatment wearing white socks will usually expose any areas yet harboring Fleas, as the Flea will be attracted to white. Areas where this occurs should be re-treated immediately to eliminate the egg layer cycle and eliminate the next generation of flea.

Eradication of Mange Mites

Most Veterinarians forever insist on prescribing chemical products that have no proven results on mange. Subsequently, both the animals and owners suffer. BUZZ! 4 bugs Biting Bug Spray is effective on all species of Mange including but not limited to Demodectic Mange, Sarcoptic Mange, Mange Mites and numerous fungal organisms that harbor in dogs’ ears or on their bodies from time to time; creating skin lesions and hot spots.

BUZZ! 4 bugs’ is a contact killer. For control of the Mange Mite, liberally spray the infected area on a daily basis; several times the first day. Repeated liberal applications on a daily basis to HOT SPOTS or MANGE areas will trigger the mite demise, and hair growth will resume in a few days. An application into the ear canal with a subsequent external ear massage will destroy any ear mites or chronic fungal organism issues the animal has in that part of its body.

The BUZZ! 4 bugs’ solution penetrates deep into the hot spot or troubled area killing the Mange Mite. Follow up treatments over the first few days are important to avoid a re-occurrence. You will see an immediate improvement in the condition and will notice the hair growth start to return in a few days. Continue the treatment daily until you observe and feel that the situation is resolved completely.

Severe Cases of Mange

Some cases of Mange are so severe that the animal’s skin becomes bloody and crusty; and the smell is repugnant. The BUZZ! 4 bugs’ solution will penetrate deep into the animal’s skin and loosen the dried, scabbed lesions exposing the wound. This allows the product to absorb deeper into the affected areas. Some of the larger and older lesions that may never have healed might display a waxy coating that previously would have stopped penetration of the Rx that a Vet may have prescribed. The BUZZ! 4 bugs’ solution will absorb into those surfaces and roll the waxy coating off, exposing a fresh layer of skin and the many skin openings (perforations) of the infected area, thus allowing that new area to breathe and heal from the inside out, causing those openings to be a little less visible as each day passes.

After a week of continued daily application, the cracks should be well on the way to disappearing, and resultant hair growth should begin to appear in certain areas. Paws that may have been severely infected will begin to see a change. The consistency of the BUZZ! 4 bugs’ cedar oil solution allows the product to go between the nails and skin penetrating and killing the mites.

affecting the paws. The skin may peel, layer by layer, in such severe cases; as it reduces the inflammation and exposes the burrow site―the deeper the burrow, the longer it takes to heal. In the final analysis, the cedarwood scent will be a refreshing change from the funky smell of the infection and bloody sores. And, your pet will love the feeling of the product as it soothes the skin.

Recommendations for Cats

Cat owners know that unlike canines, felines come hard wired with a certain built in Cat-attitude. Our experience with customers treating cats vs. dogs indicates that felines are far less likely to enjoy the BUZZ! 4 bugs treatment, no matter how effective it is. Nevertheless BUZZ! 4 bugs is an excellent, non-toxic alternative to Spot-On flea and tick treatments for cats and kittens. After treatment of an indoor cat, should the cat continue to be attacked by fleas; it’s a good sign you have indoor fleas and you need to reverse the order of the protocol. It is highly recommended that you eliminate all fleas from the cat’s environment first, including bedding, favorite napping, sunning and other favorite spaces. In fact, it is always best to treat the environment first, and the cat last. I repeat: Treat your spaces first; cats last.

Generally, use less cedarwood oil solution on cats than on dogs. Spray directly on back, neck, tummy, legs and tail, treating down to the skin, including pits and ears. Note: Some cats dislike the sound of the spraying. So, try either of the following techniques: Fill a shallow bowl with BUZZ! 4 bugs and sneak it on by dipping a favorite brush in the solution as you comb through the fur, or dip your fingers in the bowl then massage and hand-pat BUZZ! 4 bugs Biting Bug Spray onto your feline’s fur. BUZZ! 4 bugs will instantly kill all fleas and ticks exposed to the fluid, leaving the animal flea free. After treatment, it is best to towel-pat dry (and possibly bathe) the cat to reduce the amount of cedarwood oil remaining on the coat. Then, let your cat do what cats do best―groom.

For some people and their cats, BUZZ! 4 bugs Biting Bug Spray has a very strong, powerful smell. If you find the aroma offensive, then by all means, treat in a well ventilated area. Always avoid contact with your animal’s eyes while treating with BUZZ! 4 bugs. Precautions: Elderly cats or cats with chronic allergies may experience an adverse reaction to cedarwood oil. Generally, apply less treatment to cats than to dogs. See allergen precautions below. Perhaps, avoid use of BUZZ 4 bugs on elderly or immune compromised felines. 6 www.buzz4bugs.com

Camping and Outdoor Protocols for Biting Bugs: Mosquitoes, Gnats, Ticks, Spiders, Scorpions… and Venomous Snakes

BUZZ! 4 bugs Biting Bug Spray in the 16 oz size is the ideal Camper’s Companion! It can work as a mosquito repellent as well as snake and scorpion chaser. When you go into the woods, liberally spray exposed skin, hair, clothing, tent and gear. Unlike DEET products, BUZZ! 4 bugs Biting Bug Spray won’t melt plastic. You don’t want any hitch-hikers coming back with you, or biting you, especially Ticks, Fleas or Red Bugs. Ticks are a major source of Lyme disease. Spray liberally on exposed skin and clothing.

Keep the skin moist. This protocol will repel biting bugs. Also, outdoorsmen find that BUZZ! 4 bugs Biting Bug Spray is an excellent scent mask, since cedarwood oil contains a pheromone interruption agent. For outdoorsmen and nature enthusiasts, the 16 oz size is the ideal companion. Spray the outside of the tent walls, especially around the base perimeters. Also, spray the inside of the tent and the sleeping bags to chase away ticks, spiders, scorpions and snakes.

Note: Venomous snakes are often referred to as heat seekers. They are looking for a food source. This includes, but is not limited to moles, gophers, field mice and others. They like warmth. Snakes have been known to slither inside a person’s sleeping bag along with the person who’s already sleeping in the bag―not the ideal camping experience!

Cedarwood oil is a natural essential oil that contains a pheromone interruption agent which impairs the insect, scorpion and snake’s mental capacities. It will deter these pests from the treated areas. Note: All of a snake’s nerve endings are in its belly skin. Cedarwood Oil is lethal to Venomous Snakes.

Allergen Precautions

Allergic reactions are rare with cedarwood oil. Where it is known that allergies and allergic reactions are typical with your pet, apply first to its bedding area to evaluate response. Next, test a small area on your pet. Use sparingly on infirmed or older cats and dogs, and on pets with chronic allergies. Cedarwood oil may cause vomiting and/or diarrhea followed by lethargy on sensitive or elderly cats with damaged kidneys and liver, which cause the body to not process oils well. Should this occur, make available plenty of fresh water.

Control of Fire Ants

Use BUZZ! 4 bugs YARD SHIELD outdoors. Apply the diluted mixture using a hose end sprayer. Follow directions for initial and subsequent treatment of the yard, garden and patio areas. You will see a significant reduction in the fire ant population, immediately. Soak the area where they reside, especially after a rain to allow deeper penetration of the mixture into their habitat. The BUZZ! 4 bugs’ cedarwood oil aroma will be a wonderful improvement over the toxic rotten-cabbage smell of Ortho in your yard!

Silverfish, Moths, Ants, Etc.

Spray Biting Bug Spray into closets and those areas where they reside and they will die. The treatment will create a barrier to entry that will keep the pests away from your closets and boxes of goods. Reapply once a month or as needed.

Scorpion, Bed Bug and Flea Infestations

The ultimate tool for eradication of Bed Bug, Scorpion and Flea infestations inside the home is by fumigation (fogging). The do-it-yourself options would be 1.) Purchase of a ULV Non-Thermal Fogger or 2.) Purchase of the more economical 1/2 gallon tank type compression sprayer along with a telescoping wand for application. One gallon of BUZZ! 4 bugs Biting Bug Spray will treat approximately 1000-1600 square foot of inside floor space. One quart of BUZZ! 4 bugs YARD SHIELD should suffice for average yards (makes 160 gallons of diluted spray). Follow-up with periodic outside treatments with BUZZ! 4 bugs YARD SHIELD to keep the Scorpions and snakes out of your yard. Fumigate the inside first and then come back a day later and spray the outside. That will give scorpions enough time to exit the structure. If you treat the yard on a regular basis you should not have any more of these rascals invading your property. The inside treatment also will get rid of fleas or any.
